D6 is our Parenting Ministry based on Deuteronomy 6 which commands parents and grandparents to take everyday opportunities to impress God’s Word upon the hearts of their children. D6 is not so much a program as it is a way of life. Our goal as a church is to resource and equip parents to be the spiritual leaders of their children that God has called them to be.
Our Mission:
“Partner with parents in order to strengthen, encourage, and equip parents to become the primary spiritual leaders of their children.”
We believe that the greatest asset and the essential ingredient in raising godly kids is TIME. First, in the literal sense, we must spend time with our families. Quality AND quantity time is essential! Second, below is an acrostic of the word "time" that better spells out the essentials of building a strong family.
Teachable Moments: Using everyday experiences to teach children valuable life lessons.
Intentional Involvement: We must be intentional about our parenting. We must be involved in our children’s lives!
Make Memories: Weather it be family traditions or just fun, memorable times together.
Experience God's grace: No parent or family is perfect. We will make mistakes. Our children will make mistakes, it is at these times we must EXPERIENCE GOD'S GRACE!
